Colours

Our brand is made up of 5 colours:

  • Tarmac (Black)
  • Dust (Off-white)
  • Crayola Green
  • Blue
  • Redy-Orange

Brand colours

Our brand palette is strong, confident and bold. The sophistication of the tarmac, and the humility of the dust shade, balances well with the vibrancy and energy that the Crayola Green, Blue and RedyOrange offer.

AAB, AAB Wealth and AAB People all use these brand colours.

Digital vs print colours

Our digital palette renders much brighter and more vibrant than our print palette. This is due to the different formats, and this is totally normal.

You must use the RGB or HEX values when producing online material, and use the CMYK or Pantone references for print.

The Pantones are not *exact* colour value matches of the RGB // CMYK values. This is due to there being a limited number of Pantone colours vs thousands of RGB // CMYK colour variations. Therefore the Pantones are the “closest match” options.

CMYK and Pantone will very rarely render identical due to the different printing techniques.

CMYK is used for full-colour / four-colour process printing – a combination of four transparent ink colours (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black), used to achieve a wide gamut of colours to create the appearance of full-colour. If you were to look close at a CMYK print, you would see a combination of overlapping dots.

Pantone (PMS) colours are used for offset printing and are typically used for one or two-colour print jobs, or in addition to CMYK on high-end print jobs. If you were to look closely at a PMS print, you would see solid colour.

Therefore, each colour has been optimised for digital or print reproduction. The specific RGB / HEX, CMYK and Pantone formulas provided must be specifically provided for each colour. Do not use the automated colour conversion tools in your software / programmes. It’s important to liaise with your printer regarding print management due to different paper stocks and printer setups. Unfortunately, there is not one rule fits-all.

Please speak to the marketing team before sending our logo to any supplier so that they can advise on the most appropriate version to use. Due to the reasons noted above, this will always vary depending on the activity and supplier.
